Songs of Glimmerwick Pets & Gilded Toadstool Locations
There are four pets. Each one needs a habitat in your garden and a Gilded Toadstool, so you need four toadstools in total.
Item names are from the English version of the game. These pages are built from Steam community guides and discussions, not official data — tell us if something is wrong.
The four pets

How to tame a pet
- Habitat schematics unlock in your Creatures Workshop class in Term 2 (Summer).
- Build the habitat and place it in the Garden.
- Find the animal, right-click the Gilded Toadstool in your inventory, then left-click the animal.
- The pet is ready the next day.
Where to find Gilded Toadstools
Players have reported these sources so far:
- Molehills, once you can make a Potion of the Mole (from Clover's quest “Mole Adventures” in Summer) — for example the molehill near the flute maker's cottage and the one near the ferry crossing at the west end of the Ochre Woods.
- A reward from the toads for the quest “The Cursed Toad” at the toad pond in the south-west of the Cypress Foothills. (Lindon's stolen-tools quest does not give one, players have corrected.)
- A reward for putting 10 unique fish in Florian's chest in the Wisk bookshop.
Didn't get the toadstool from Florian? Several players reported this between October 11 and 13. Patch 1.06 (October 12) fixed a bug where the quick-transfer button did not register Florian's fish rewards, so update the game first. We don't know yet whether the fix gives a missed reward back.
